Program Milestones

2001
First pilot study of Reflections is conducted at Trinity University


2002
Based on positive results of pilot study, Trinity sororities agree to a two-year second study of Reflections with active members.


2003
Trinity sororities decide to make Reflections a component of new member orientation, and the program becomes a peer-led program.


2004
Trinity sororities adopt Reflections into annual new member orientation.


2005
Tri Delta learns about the program and begins pilot testing. Pilot testing begins at Texas Christian University and Clemson University. 
 

2006
Tri Delta contributes significant funding to an expanded second year of pilot testing. Chapters included in the second year of pilot testing included Texas A&M, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Wisconsin and Arizona chapters. 


2007
Tri Delta develops a 10-year strategic plan to implement Reflections nationwide. Partnership established with Oxford University Press to produce a published manual to facilitate expansion of the program, and three other national sororities (Alpha Xi Delta, Delta Gamma, and Pi Beta Phi) approve the program for implementation at one or more campuses. Reflections also attracts other researchers, who begin programs and associated studies at other campuses.


Tri Delta underwrites the first published version of the Reflections program, making the program available for campus counseling centers, Greek organizations and women’s groups at campuses nationwide. Tri Delta commits to educating 20,000 women on body image and eating disorder prevention using the Reflections program.
